Did you take a WFR class only to discover that there’s no registry of wilderness first responders that emergency officials can use to recruit you?
If you wanted to help out with Hurricane Helene but could not find a way in without self-deploying, getting in the way of existing operations, or joining up with impromptu vigilante groups, join our registry. We are organizing ourselves so that the next time something like this happens, we can avoid these headaches and ensure that emergency operation centers know we are standing by, ready to help!
If our mission is fully successful, we will be able to offer free or discounted WFR recertification courses to members of the registry. Joining the registry is completely free.
